The event will take place in the RAI’s premier Halls 1 and 5, having grown this year to accommodate a record 500 exhibiting companies and organisations.
The two-day conference features more than 65 expert speakers examining in-depth all the latest political, legislative, market and technological developments in plastics recycling. The keynote session will include an address by Teresa Ribera Rodríguez, Executive Vice-President for a Clean, Just and Competitive Transition, European Commission. Marieke Koekkoek, Member of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands, Volt Nederland and Ton Emans, Plastics Recyclers Europe’s President will be joining the keynote session on the first day.
Wolfgang Trunk, Team leader – Competitive Circular Economy & Clean Industrial Policy, DG ENVIRONMENT, European Commission, is a newly confirmed speaker in the ‘Unlocking PPWR’ session and will share the European Commission’s vision for plastic packaging circularity. Aldi, Beiersdorf, Hyundai, IKEA and P&G are among the leading brands whose experts are taking part in the two days of the conference.
The AI Innovation Hub feature area introduces all the latest uses of AI in plastics recycling. Visitors will be guided through the areas of feedstock, design, collection, processing, and material sourcing with information boards and video displays. A swarm robot sorting demonstration, and an AI-based recycling data game will be launched at the show.
The winners of the seven award categories at the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2025 will be announced at the event on 2 April, and all finalists will be showcased at the exhibition. The shortlisted products and projects are made in Europe, and contain a minimum of 50% recycled plastics.
