The new company building covers 9000 square metres, a fourfold increase in area, and takes up just 25 percent of the recently acquired 6-hectare plot. By planning for the future, the company is opening up further scope for expansion.
Expanded capacities optimise production and provide more space for development, testing, and administration. The expanded test center, in particular, allows customers to test the materials they intend to sort under real-life conditions and verify feasibility and also allows STEINERT to continually refine its sorting technology. After the Test and Development Center near Cologne, this is the second-largest belonging to the Steinert Group.
The property modernisation work covered ten different plants and took eight months. It has resulted in an ultra-modern site with optimised production and development areas, an automated storage system and improved working conditions for staff.
The expansion also brings financial benefits to the Zittau area, including more jobs, increased tax revenue and civic engagement through the support of local initiatives.
