This included the JCB 437 wheeled loading shovel that is expected to offer customers increased efficiency, lower emissions and improved operator comfort. The machine is powered by the Cummins QSB 6.7 litre engine and features a progressive clutch cut-off feature plus optional five-speed transmission, and automatic differential locking axles. Key product improvements include ccompliance with Stage 3B / Tier 4 interim emissions with no requirement for a diesel particulate filter or exhaust after treatment additives; smart engine efficiency features including low idle setting (700 rpm), power and economy modes, optional idle shutdown; up to 100% traction with new automatic differential locking axles, up to 16% improvement in fuel consumption with optional new 5 speed transmission and lock up converter and lower cab noise levels, now 69db (A).
Also new is the 5CXWM backhoe loader. According to JCB this new model incorporates additional length rear stabilisers and a front frame or Waste Multishovel with top grab, both incorporating hydraulic legs. This combination raises the entire machine well clear of the ground, offering exceptional views into a bin, shredder or baler when compacting or loading material with a selector grab, jaw bucket or dedicated compaction wheel. The manufacturer claims that its ability to perform a variety of roles eliminates the need for other machines such as forklift or pallet trucks.
Last but not least the Tier IIIB/Tier 4 final Teletruk model was shown in Birmingham. The machine is supposed to offer fuel savings of up to 32% compared to the model it replaces. The JCB TLT 35D 4×4 is powered by JCB Diesel by Kohler engine and meets the stringent EU Stage IIIB and EPA Tier 4 Final emission regulations without the use of a DPF. It also comes with a 3,000 hour warranty.
