Through integration of a multifunctional sorting system, such as Autosort, waste management and recycling companies can benefit from increased processing quantities and a higher purity of final recyclables, Tomra quotes. Autosort is capable of handling high throughputs and recovering a wide range of recyclables from mixed streams while scanning for enhanced material information and color in combination. The machine offers according to Tomra also multiple sorting operations, which can be controlled by a simple change in its program. Moreover, the technology requires very low energy consumption and is built to withstand the harshest conditions, such as dirty MRFs and scorching heat.
