Mr. Wigginsâs responsibilities include leading ISRIâs EHS training and outreach programs, including the ISRI Safety & Environmental Council (ISEC), Circle of Safety Excellence, and OSHA Alliance, as well as the ongoing development of safety and environmental products and services.
“With safety being a core value of ISRI, and the recycling industry, it is crucial that the association has a strong, qualified person leading our EH&S efforts,â said Robin Wiener, president of ISRI. âScott brings more than two decades of field and management experience to this role for ISRI. His knowledge and expertise will further enhance the many safety and environmental offerings available to ISRI members and the industry. I am excited to be working with Scott as ISRI continues to develop and further strengthen the tools and other resources needed for recyclers to build a strong safety culture at every single facility.â
According to ISRI Mr. Wiggins has more than 23 years of EHS experience in industries varying from petroleum pipelines and terminals to furniture and electronics manufacturing. He comes to ISRI most recently from Delek Logistics where he managed the EHS Program for an oil and gas midstream operation encompassing 1,400 miles of pipelines and 9 finished product terminals. Previously he managed the EHS operations for two oil refineries in Mississippi. In these roles he was responsible for the oversight of all air permitting in Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennessee. He was actively involved in new acquisition support especially environmental assessments, preliminary construction assessments, and logistical gap analysis and supervision of six ground water remedial action plans. He was responsible for all safety program development and automation including training, inspection, and policy gap analysis. In addition, Wiggins oversaw emergency response and was the technical liaison for emergency and EHS compliance.

Mr. Wiggins was mobilize twice for Operation Iraqi Freedom including one tour in Iraq where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. He graduated from West Point where he studied General Engineering. He also received a Masterâs Degree in from Texas A&M University in Construction Management, and graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
