Recylex has announces that the hot commissioning phase of its new reduction furnace at the Weser-Metall GmbH lead smelter has begun as initially programmed. This commissioning is scheduled to last several weeks, during which a complete set of tests is to be performed to ensure that all systems are operational and technical adjustments are to be made. The ramp-up phase of the reduction furnace’s production is currently planned during the third quarter of 2018.

According to BIR, the CCIC North America will start accepting inspection applications again starting on June 8.

CarbonLITE Holdings LLC has announced that PET bottle-to-bottle recycling leader CarbonLITE will build a new plant, to be located in the state of Pennsylvania. This facility will enable the company to increase the number of post-consumer PET beverage bottles it recycles annually by 50 percent – to more than 6 billion. The new $60 million plant is scheduled for startup in late 2019.
